Taylor Fritz to appear in Stuttgart as brand ambassador for BOSS

Not only since Frances Tiafoe's tournament victory last year have the BOSS OPEN exerted a great attraction on US tennis aces! After defending champion Tiafoe, Ben Shelton and Christopher Eubanks, the fourth top star from the land of unlimited opportunities, Taylor Fritz has now confirmed his participation in Stuttgart, where he will serve as the global brand ambassador for BOSS next June.

Taylor Fritz's start at Stuttgart's Weissenhof will happen under special circumstances, as the 26-year-old has been a global brand ambassador for BOSS since the beginning of March this year. “The BOSS OPEN in Stuttgart has played an important role for me in recent years. Now the importance of the tournament has increased again. The competition is very strong, but I come to the grass courts of TC Weissenhof with the aim of getting a good start to the grass season,” says Fritz, who won two of his seven ATP titles on grass in Eastbourne (GBR) in 2019 and 2022. He also reached his first quarter-final at a Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon in 2022.

Fritz also celebrated his biggest tournament victory to date in 2022 at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells. This season, the right-hander repeated his triumph from the previous year at the hard-court tournament in Delray Beach. The popularity of the current 15th-ranked player in the world has skyrocketed recently thanks to Fritz's appearance in the Netflix series "Break Point".

"Taylor Fritz is known for his offensive style of play and exerts a lot of pressure on his opponents with his strong serve and powerful forehand. He therefore has all the prerequisites to be successful at the BOSS OPEN. The fact that he will also be playing in Stuttgart for the first time this year in his new role as global brand ambassador for BOSS gives his appearance next June a special appeal," explains Tournament Director Edwin Weindorfer.

With the two top German players Alexander Zverev and Jan-Lennard Struff as well as the US quartet Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe and Christopher Eubanks, the BOSS OPEN already has an outstanding line-up two months before the start of the tournament. Shelton and Tiafoe were in excellent form recently at the ATP tournament in Houston and played in the final in the Texan metropolis, where Shelton prevailed in three sets to celebrate his second tournament victory after Tokyo 2023.
