Andy Murray joins the action

There’s a full schedule at Stuttgart’s Weissenhof on Tuesday: no less than 7 singles and 4 doubles matches on all three match courts.

The action on the center court starts with the match between American Maxime Cressy and Switzerland’s youngster Dominic Stricker at 11 am. This match is followed by the first appearance of superstar Andy Murray. The Brit will face Australian Christopher O’Connell. The two already faced off in the spring in Dubai. Says Murray: “It will be tough. The match in Dubai was a close affair.” Murray won it in three sets.

In the third match of the day, fan-favorite Nick Kyrgios enters the fray. The Australian will play against Jiri Lehecka from the Czech Republic. To round out the day, Italy’s shooting star Lorenzo Musetti will take on the tournament’s number 5, Nikoloz Basilashvili (GEO).

Play will commence on Court 1 also at 11 am with the match between Marton Fucsovics (HUN) and Austrian Jurij Rodionov, who reached the semi-finals in Stuttgart in 2021. This is followed by the French duel between Ugo Humbert (8) and Arthur Rinderknech, followed by Denis Kudla (USA) and Alexander Bublik (KAZ/7).

The tournament’s number 1, Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE), will also see action on Tuesday, though only in the doubles competition at the side of his brother Petros. This will be the fourth and final match on Court 1.

Three doubles matches are scheduled for Court 2, starting at 11 am.
