Berrettini time in Stuttgart

On Wednesday, the first matches of the second round are scheduled: amongst those not only the last two German players, but also Matteo Berrettini, the tournament’s number 2.

Berrettini, currently ranked number 10 in the world and also brand ambassador of our new title sponsor BOSS, will play the third match after 11 am. After a bye in the first round, he will now face qualifier Radu Albot (MDA).

Before this match, the action commences with the French duel between Arthur Rinderknech and Benjamin Bonzi, followed by the match between Lorenzo Musetti (ITA) and Nikoloz Basilashivili (GEO/5) which was suspended on Tuesday due to rain with the Georgian leading 7-5, 4-2 and 30-0.

The last two remaining Germans are scheduled after the Berrettini match. First, Jan-Lennard Struff will face Lorenzo Sonego, the Italian number 6 of the tournament, followed by Oscar Otte going for the upset against Denis Shapovalov (CAN/4).
