BOSS OPEN kick off with qualifying action
The 2026 BOSS OPEN get underway on Saturday at the TC Weissenhof, with 16 players competing in the qualifying draw for the final four spots in the main tournament.
From a German perspective, the spotlight will be on wildcard entrant Tom Gentzsch. The German opens the day at 11 am against seventh seed Gauthier Onclin of Belgium. Immediately afterwards, Austria’s Jurij Rodionov takes on Switzerland’s Luca Castelnuovo.
Among the most notable names in the qualifying draw are top seed Lorenzo Sonego of Italy, Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili, Roman Safiullin, and five-time Grand Slam doubles champion Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
Admission to Saturday’s qualifying matches is free of charge. Tennis fans will have the opportunity to experience high-class grass-court tennis from close range right from the start of the tournament and catch an early glimpse of some of the stars competing at this year’s BOSS OPEN.
