BOSS OPEN main draw promises exciting match-ups
The draw for the 2026 BOSS OPEN has produced a number of highly intriguing first-round encounters. From a German perspective in particular, the main draw at the TC Weissenhof promises plenty of excitement.
Daniel Altmaier, will open his campaign against former Stuttgart champion Frances Tiafoe.
Fan favourite Jan-Lennard Struff can also look forward to a promising start. The German will face a qualifier in the opening round and could then meet third seed Alexander Bublik in the next stage.
Special attention will also be on the two German wildcards. Diego Dedura begins his tournament against Australia’s James Duckworth, while Tom Gentzsch takes on Rinky Hijikata. Should Gentzsch come through his opening match, he could set up an all-German second-round clash with Daniel Altmaier.
Yannick Hanfmann starts his Stuttgart campaign against American Aleksandar Kovacevic. The winner of that match could face seventh seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the round of 16.
One of the standout matches of the opening round is sure to capture the attention of fans at the Weissenhof: wildcard entrant Nick Kyrgios will face eighth seed Corentin Moutet in his Stuttgart comeback. Both players are among the most colourful and unpredictable personalities on the ATP Tour, making this a fascinating contest even before the first ball has been struck.
The field is headed by top seed Ben Shelton. The American receives a first-round bye, as do the other top four seeds Taylor Fritz, Alexander Bublik and Jiri Lehecka.
