BOSS OPEN: Qualifying kicks off with four Germans
Qualifying for the BOSS OPEN 2025 begins on Saturday – with a strong line-up of German players. A total of four local professionals will battle it out on the opening day to advance to the second qualifying round of the prestigious grass court tournament at Weissenhof.
At 11 am Maximilian Marterer will kick off the action on Colosseum Court against seventh-seeded Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert, followed by the match between James Duckworth, the Australian number 1 in qualifying, and Benjamin Hassan, who was born in Germany and plays for Lebanon.
The third match will be an all-German duel between Yannick Hanfmann and wild card player Max Wiskandt.
The Colosseum Court will conclude with a match between veteran Hungarian Marton Fucsovics (4) and the German Patrick Zahraj, who also received a wild card.
Court 2 will also see prominent names in action from 11 am with Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili and Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler amongst others.
The start of qualifying promises exciting matches and a first taste of top-level grass court tennis – and all with free admission on Saturday!
