Mercedes-Benz returns as “Official Automotive Partner”

It can safely be called the “comeback of the year” at the sponsorship level – Mercedes-Benz is returning to the BOSS OPEN! From 1979 to 2021, Mercedes-Benz lent its name to the tennis highlight at the TC Weissenhof as title sponsor. Now, the company with the star becomes an official premium partner of the ATP tournament, further strengthening its long-standing connection to tennis. With this sponsorship, Mercedes-Benz reinforces its commitment to the sport while also highlighting the importance of its hometown, Stuttgart.

“We are delighted to welcome Mercedes-Benz back to the BOSS OPEN. The tournament and Mercedes-Benz share a long and successful history. This partnership continues our shared journey, and Mercedes-Benz underlines the close connection between the tournament and the city of Stuttgart. We are very proud to collaborate with globally successful companies like HUGO BOSS and Mercedes-Benz, both rooted in Baden-Württemberg,” emphasizes tournament director Edwin Weindorfer.

“Building strong relationships with our customers is at the center of everything we do, and sport is one of the most powerful platforms for creating these connections. Tennis, in particular, has always been close to our hearts at Mercedes-Benz – a sport defined by dedication, responsibility and self-confidence. While we proudly sponsor the WTA worldwide, returning to the BOSS OPEN here in Stuttgart, the hometown of Mercedes-Benz, truly feels like a welcome home moment and underscores our commitment to connecting with people where it matters most,” explains Mathias Geisen, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Sales & Customer Experience.

For Mercedes-Benz, the BOSS OPEN offer an opportunity to highlight the company’s close ties to the Stuttgart region while also engaging an international tennis audience. As the “Official Automotive Partner,” Mercedes-Benz supports the tournament with its dedicated shuttle fleet, ensuring mobility for players, officials, and guests, while also creating unique experiences for all attendees.

With the BOSS Open, Mercedes-Benz is further expanding its global tennis engagement. The Stuttgart tournament complements existing partnerships, including collaborations with the WTA Tour and the Laver Cup, as well as with brand ambassadors Coco Gauff and Roger Federer.

Ten weeks before the tournament begins, the 2026 BOSS OPEN player field is already shaping up with numerous high-profile names. US-American Taylor Fritz will attempt to successfully defend his title at the Weissenhof. In addition, two more US stars, Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul, have confirmed their participation, alongside two-time Stuttgart champion Matteo Berrettini (ITA), Australian tennis maverick Nick Kyrgios, and the German duo Jan-Lennard Struff and Justin Engel.
