Shelton completes semi-final line-up

Top seed Ben Shelton completed the BOSS OPEN semi-final line-up after coming from a set down to defeat Japan’s Sho Shimabukuro 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. The match had been suspended on Friday evening due to darkness with Shimabukuro leading by a set.

While Shelton had struggled to find his rhythm on Friday, the world No. 5 looked far more comfortable when play resumed on Saturday morning. After a brief warm-up, the 23-year-old American secured the crucial break for 4-2 in the second set and then served it out comfortably to level the match.

In the deciding set, Shelton initially missed three break-point opportunities at 2-2. However, the American delivered when it mattered most, breaking for 5-4 before confidently serving out the match to secure his place in the semi-finals.

Shelton will now face Czech star Jiri Lehecka in the final match of the day. Earlier, defending champion Taylor Fritz of the United States and Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik will battle for the other spot in the final.

As a result, all four top seeds of the 2026 BOSS OPEN have successfully advanced to the semi-finals.
