Struff confidently advances to the round of 16

After a confident two-set victory over Matteo Arnaldi, the Warstein native will face Czech player Jiri Lehecka in the round of 16.

Successful return for Jan-Lennard Struff to Stuttgart's Weissenhof. The 35-year-old BOSS OPEN finalist from 2023 defeated Italy's Matteo Arnaldi 6-4, 6-4 in the first round on Monday. Struff converted his first match point after 73 minutes.

In the round of 16, Struff will face Czech player Jiri Lehecka. The Czech world number 33 and number 8 seed made a strong start to the BOSS OPEN, defeating French player Benjamin Bonzi 6-4, 6-4.

American Brandon Nakashima, seeded No. 6 in the tournament, had more trouble with unseeded Brit Jacob Fearnley, but ultimately prevailed 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1. He will face the winner of the match between Learner Tien (USA) and Yoshihito Nishioka (JPN) in the round of 16, which will not be played until Tuesday. In the last match of the day, Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard defeated Roman Safiullin 7-6 (10), 3-6, 7-5.
