The BOSS OPEN will start on Monday with the first round matches, which will already provide tennis fans with a few treats. For example, the two local heroes Henry Squire (WC) and Yannick Hanfmann will meet right at the start of the tournament. The winner of the match will face last year's winner Frances Tiafoe in the round of 16.
Last year's finalist Jan-Lennard Struff has to deal with the Italian Flavio Cobolli in the first round. The quarter-finals could see a clash with the number 1, Alexander Zverev.
Dominik Koepfer will face China's Zhizhen Zhang and Austria's Sebastian Ofner, who is making his debut on the Stuttgart turf this year, will meet the strong American Jack Draper.
All eyes on Murray and Berrettini
International fans at Weissenhof can also look forward to seeing some real superstars from Monday: Sir Andy Murray, who reached the final at the BOSS OPEN two years ago, will be up against American Marcos Giron in the first round. Matteo Berrettini, a two-time winner, continues his comeback tour after injury with a first round match against Russian Roman Safiullin.
The winner of the all-American duel between Christopher Eubanks and Brandon Nakashima awaits No. 1 seed Alexander Zverev in the round of 16.
