BOSS OPEN kick off with first qualification round
The long wait is over: from Saturday, the BOSS OPEN 2024 will finally get serious. With free entry, fans at Stuttgart's Weissenhof can look forward to eight qualifying matches featuring no fewer than five Germans and a few other well-known names.
The action at the BOSS OPEN starts at 11 a.m. with a duel between two well-known French names: Warhorse Richard Gasquet takes on compatriot Benjamin Bonzi on Match Court 2. Three more matches, amongst others Maxime Cressy (USA) against Hamad Medjedovic (SRB) are also scheduled on this court.
German Daniel Masur and Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert will meet in the Colosseum from 11 am, followed by Maximillian Marterer, who will also be up against a Frenchman, Matteo Martineau.
Spectators can look forward to a particularly prominent name in the third match of the day. Local hero Rudolf Molleker will face Joan Nadal, the cousin of the great Rafael Nadal and son of Toni Nadal. The 20-year-old Spaniard is competing in the qualifier thanks to a wild card.
At the end of the day, there will even be an all-German duel between max Hans Rehberg and Benjamin Hassan.
