Round 2 begins

On Wednesday the first matches of the second round are scheduled at the BOSS OPEN.

The day will be opened on the Center Court by the match between Australian Christopher O'Connell (ATP No. 74) and Italian Lorenzo Sonego (ATP 41), who had eliminated compatriot and defending champion Matteo Berrettini in the first round.

After a bye in round 1, the no. 4 seed Pole Hubert Hurkacz (ATP 14) will enter the tournament. He will meet Japanese qualifier Yosuke Watanuki (ATP 121).

Not before 3 pm, Italy's Lorenzo Mussetti (ATP 17) will try to secure a spot in the quarterfinals against France's Gregoire Barrere (ATP 58).

To close out the day, US no. 3 seed Frances Tiafoe (ATP 12) will make his debut on German soil. His opponent is the Czech Jiri Lehecka (ATP 37).

Two doubles matches are scheduled in the "Colosseum" on Wednesday: starting at noon, the German duo Krawietz/Puetz will face the French pairing Doumbia/Reboul. Not before 2 pm Andreas Mies will play with his Brazilian partner Marcelo Demoliner against the French-Spanish pairing Olivetti/Hernandez.
