German duo aims for quarter-finals

The first round of 16 matches are already scheduled for Wednesday at the BOSS OPEN. Among them are two German local heroes, the defending champion and Germany's top doubles team.

As usual, the day starts on the center court at 11 am and it does so with a bang, as Domminik Koepfer challenges young Italian Lorenzo Musetti, who is seeded No. 5.

Directly afterwards, the defending champion will make his first appearance: Frances Tiafoe (USA) will take on German Yannick Hanfmann.

Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik, seeded number 3, does not enter the competition before 2.30 pm. He will face the Serbian Next Gen ATP Finals Champion of 2023, Hamad Medjedovic.

The last match of the day will be played not before 4.30 pm. Marcos Giron (USA), who beat Andy Murray in the first round, will face Britain's Jack Draper.

There will be plenty of top-class doubles matches on the Colosseum Court on Wednesday, including the German duel between Kevin Krawietz/Tim Puetz and Constantin Frantzen/Hendrik Jebens.
