Fight for the final BOSS OPEN spots is on

On Sunday, the final qualifying matches for the last four spots in the BOSS OPEN’s main draw are on the line. Two Germans are still in the game.

The final round of the qualification is set to be played on Match Court 1 and 2, as superstar and BOSS ambassador Matteo Berrettini is scheduled for an exhibition practice on the Centre Court at noon. The two Germans left, Mats Moraing and Peter Gojowczyk, will play their matches on Court 1. Moraing, who beat fellow country man Jannik Maute (WC) 6-1, 7-6 (5) in the first round will meet Swiss shooting star Dominic Stricker from 11 am. Stricker was able to turn the tide in his first round match with Aslan Karatsev to emerge as a two-set winner (7-6 (2), 6-1). Last year, Stricker sensationally reached the quarter finals in Stuttgart.

This match is followed by Peter Gojowczyk taking on Australian Christopher O’Connell. Gojowczyk cruised to a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Cem Ilkel from Turkey in the first round, while O’Connell outlasted Daniel Masur, yet another German, 7-6 (6), 7-5.

On Match Court 2, the action also starts at 11 am with Quentin Halys (6-3, 6-3 winner over German Marko Topo) against Macedonian Radu Albot (6-4, 6-3 win over German Oscar Moraing), followed by Roman Safiullin against Jurij Rodionov from Austria.

The winners of these four matches will be placed in the final free spots of the main draw table.
