Full house at the Kids Press Conference

Dozens of children besieged tournament stars Dustin Brown and Sebastian Ofner in the press center.

On Sunday, the BOSS OPEN press center, normally reserved for official media representatives from all over the world, was the venue for a press conference of a different kind. Around 60 children had the opportunity to ask two tournament stars their most burning questions. Dustin Brown and Sebastian Ofner, who will also be competing together in the doubles, patiently answered questions for over half an hour that they are not normally asked by the press. And that was precisely the attraction of the event.

A few examples:

Do you prefer to play during the day or at night?

Dustin Brown: Preferably during the day. The night sessions can sometimes be very exhausting because they often go late into the night and then the whole daily routine gets mixed up.

Sebastian Ofner: I also prefer to play during the day. Of course, it depends a bit on how you're feeling at the time, but night sessions are really tough.

What other sports do you like?

Brown: I watch very little sport, but when I do, it's basketball. In the last few years I've taken up padel, which is really fun.

Ofner: Mainly soccer.

What do you eat?

Brown: I do try to watch what I eat, but I was certainly more careful when I was 28.

Ofner: I try to eat healthily. Pasta, rice or chicken before the match, but basically I eat what I want. Of course, I make sure I don't eat too much sugar, but if I fancy ice cream or chocolate, I eat that too.

What is your favorite food?

Brown: Sushi

Ofner: A really good steak is really nice.

Who are your best friends on tour?

Brown: Lucas Miedler, an Austrian.

Ofner: I also have the most contact with the Austrians and the Germans. Tennis is an individual sport, so players from the same country often stay in contact with each other. Or at least players who speak the same language.
